The Bible is so clear that God wants to have a relationship with us, one where we get to know Him and let Him into our lives. This is what it is to be a Christian. It’s not a set of rules that we follow or a “religious” life, rather, it’s a daily relationship with God, talking to Him and hearing from Him through the Bible.
Countless billions of people around the world experience this relationship on a daily basis. We want to help you begin your journey knowing God and walking with him daily.
If you want to begin this relationship with God, we would love to hear from you
John 10:10
Well the first thing to do is get part of a great Church; Church is God’s strategy for people who know Him to get together in community, have fun and also learn and grow in their understanding of His word. It’s also the place those who are searching and want to know more about God can come to discover Him. At Church you will be encouraged, uplifted and empowered for your day to day walk with God.
Prayer is very simply talking to God. You can talk to God about anything at all - He already knows what’s going on so there is nothing that will shock or surprise Him. One of the descriptions (often called “names”) of God in the bible is “the wonderful counsellor”; like a counsellor in our lives, God is listening and hearing you when you share with Him about what’s going on in your life.
We can be strategic and purposeful with how we pray; we have put together a great “Pray First” booklet that can teach you some practical easy ways to start praying.
If prayer is us speaking to God, then how does God speak to us? God speaks to us in many ways but the number one way He communicates with us is through the Bible. The Bible is God’s word and is the most incredible book in history. It is full of amazing truth, life-changing discovery and solutions for problems and it’s all there for us to dive into every single day.
